Karma

 What is karma? Karma is cause and effect. Every effect was due to some cause. Every time you take a stand, make a decision and take action, you create karma. That is just the way it is. However, the way it ends up is greatly dependent on you. Are you causing good karma or bad karma? By taking right action, you create good karma. What is right action? It depends on you and your higher self. If you take action based on the inspiration of your higher self, you are taking right action. Your intent behind the decision to act also has an impact on the results.
